Electric Dryer Tripping Breaker

If your Electric Dryer is Tripping the Circuit Breaker Check the Following Breaker Sometimes the breaker itself is faulty. To be sure it is not the breaker, unplug dryer, if it trips as soon as the dryer is plugged in then it is probally in the dryer. Otherwise have your breaker checked. Make sure both sides of the breaker are on. Cord Check the cord connections for being burned up, shorting, or loose connections. If any of this is found replace the cord. Check the terminal block, this is the part that the wire hooks up to. Make sure this looks good and screws are not stripped. Internal Short This could be several things including the door switch, power on/off switch, timer and motor. One of these items has a short. I would check each one of these in the order listed for shorts. This is done with an ohmeter.
