There are various electric cook tops that are going to be introduced come 2010.You will be surprised to find some great brands offering new cook tops with tons of features. Here are some of the ones to look forward to this 2010:

GE Profile PP989
This 30" Smoothtop Electric Downdraft Cooktop with a powerful 3-Speed Fan. Smooth surface makes cleaning easy. The power boil element has good power for quick heating of large pots. It also has a bridge element for large pans. We highly recommend this cook top.

KitchenAid Architect Series II KICU568SBL
This 36 in. electric induction cook top is so responsive that it can quickly go from boil to simmer. Sleek, integrated touch-activated electronic controls offer nine heat-level settings from keep warm to performance boost, allowing heat to be adjusted instantly with precision similar to gas cook tops. This is a very nice cook top but a bit pricey.

Bosch 800 NET8654UC
The best of these features is the Precisionsim control. While many electric cook tops are slow to react and difficult to control at low temperatures, Bosch's Precisionsim system is very precise. Another feature that helps justify the NET9652UC's somewhat high suggested price is the Powerstart feature. Powerstart immediately sends the maximum amount of wattage to an element when it is turned on, then gradually cools to the selected setting. Additional versatility is provided by Bosch's triple-element design. A bridge element is another feature we like to see on a high-end electric cook top, and this is equipped.
One often overlooked but welcome touch is the built-in countdown timer, which shuts off an element at a preset time. Conveniently enough, it can also be used as a separate kitchen timer for tasks unrelated to the cook top. We usually don't love cooking with electric unless it's induction, but Bosch gives us good reason to change our mind. The only co is it is only offered in one color.
